MERCSTON JOINS RUDE KID FOR NEWEST 'KISS GRIME' SESSION

MERCSTON JOINS RUDE KID FOR NEWEST ‘KISS GRIME’ SESSION

Following the recent drop of his debut LP Top Tier, Mercston is showing no signs of slowing down as he heads to the KISS Grime show for a live mini mix session and an interview with Rude Kid.

This session holds clear energy as Mercston hits various different vibes taken from the latest album drop. He comes in with a studio quality clarity, spitting like an absolute G. The sounds we hear in the first half of the vid are “Hatrick”, “Top Tier” and “Mercs Skinner”, all from the BRAND NEW album.

The session then rolls into an interview with Grime legend Rude Kid. They get into several different topics that surround the themes of the album. The pair talk features and fans reaction to the album, amongst other aspects of the LP.

With ‘Top Tier’ en route for major success, heres what NME said;

But Mercston doesn’t forget his roots. ‘Top Tier’ is like a The Movement reunion record, the group coming together – minus except Scorcher – on two different tracks. On the title track, he teams up with his old mates Devlin and Ghetts to serve up razor-sharp bars, just like the good ol’ days. Each takes a verse to show offl Devlin uses his to reminisce on their collective in its prime: “Fuck Radio, what a brilliant time? / North meets east, we’re the brilliant minds”.
