Kojo Funds – Golden Boy (Mixtape)

Sought after King of Afro-Swing, Kojo Funds is proud to unveil eagerly-anticipated debut mixtape, ‘Golden Boy’. The mixtape spans 16 tracks and is available now on all DSPs via Atlantic Records.

Golden Boy’ is a collection of work showcasing the conviction and self-assurance Kojo has channelled into his music over the past two years, after first breaking into public consciousness with MOBO nominated single, ‘Dun Talkin’. He boldly swings through genres right across the tracklist to create a sound that though primarily inspired by his African and Caribbean lineage, feels uniquely his. It lands as Kojo’s self-empowered statement of belief, with the title symbolising being chosen as someone with great power or ability, and with it, an artist who remains true to self and golden at heart.

Since coining the term Afro-swing, Kojo Funds has been the driving force of the music now heralded as the sound of UK black diaspora. He first made waves with 2016 release, ‘Dun Talkin’, which was the first video on  GRM Daily to reach 10 million views, and has since dropped instantaneous underground hits like ‘Warning’, ‘My 9ine’ and ‘Fine Wine’.  Kojo has already sold over 2 million singles in the UK alone, including the platinum-selling, ‘Finder Keepers’, with Mabel.
