The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency also known as the DVLA has seen some of the most lengthy and criticising tweets as customers have no way to contact any member of customer services.

The agency has listed 2 customer service contact numbers and unsurprisingly neither of them work. The DVLA have stated they have a reduced number of staff but their phone lines are still accessible. This is not the case.

On their website they also have a web chat option that is currently not working and when you send emails no one ever replies.

One angry customer tweeted;

A mother claimed;

Daughter still waiting after 6 weeks for provisional license. Email service message says ‘closed’, phone number engaged then cuts off, online just says ‘pending’. We’d really like a person to tell us when she can start learning to drive!?!?

Whilst trying to find alternative ways to contact DVLA it came to our attention that you cannot even send a direct message to the DVLA on Twitter.

Some people have sent off their ID documents months ago and have still not received them back.
