Self-proclaimed ‘King Of The North’ Bugzy Malone has delivered his first release of 2020, ‘Cause A Commotion’, a gritty track featuring Skip Marley.

Produced by Toddla T, ‘Cause A Commotion’ is sonically a stark contrast from the Grime sounds of Bugzy’s previous work. ‘Cause A Commotion’ sees Bugzy experiment with dancehall undertones which is further complemented by the addition of Skip Marley, grandson of the Reggae luminary Bob Marley.

Prior to its official release, the track secured first plays with Annie Mac’s as her ‘Hottest Record’ and BBC 1xtra as DJ Target featured it as his ‘Target Embargo’.

One of the UK’s leading rappers, Bugzy Malone burst onto the music scene in 2015 with his debut EP ‘Walk With Me’. Released on Charlie Sloth’s independent label, Grimey Limey, the project reached No.8 on the UK albums chart. A significant milestone for a release without major label backing.

He would soon build on these foundations with the arrival of his Silver-certified EP’s ‘Facing Time’ and ‘King Of The North’ before releasing his full-length debut album ‘B-Inspired’ which peaked at No. 6 on the UK Albums Chart while garnering critical acclaim from The Guardian and TRENCH.

With a new sound and blossoming acting career in tow, ‘Cause A Common’ marks the culmination  of a new phase in this dynamic talent’s trajectory.

Quotable Lyrics

Ever seen five man hop out of the four-door?
Moncler smelling like a Tom Ford
Greeted them in French, I’m sayin’ “Bonjour”
Decorate the face, I’m on that contour
