Aggy D’s “Mad Mind” EP

AGGY D’s debut project is unmistakably London, fully produced by 4STRINGSZ, the man behind one of London’s championing underground rap hits – “SAM WISE: LIZZIE” and who recently toured with ETTA BOND and A2. Sonically, The production is rustic and analog-like but with heavy 808s and a distinctive swirling-synth alternative trap feel. The heavy bass and deep, silky smooth vocal approach coupled with the eclectically inspired flows AND introspective lyrics set it apart, making it difficult to liken AGGY D to other London artists.

The project begins with 2 upbeat headbangers and ends slower, and more lyrical, the final song ends instrumentally with live violins, heavily affected. The whole project is moody. The whole project is unique. Imagine Jesse James Solomon X Playboi Carti, at a push.

It will be released on all streaming platforms via Distrokid on the 20th February 2020.

Aggy D worked on the Roundhouse’s flagship programme “Ontrack” and performed a sold-out show in their Sackler Space alongside YGG’s Saint P. They performed Aggy and Saint’s unreleased single “Frank” produced by DJ Policy. This is the exact same course Little Simz came up through, he’s worked with established musicians like Lyrix Organix and Felix Joseph. BornMusicOnine described him as “wavy all the way down to the visual, matching his cold quick-fire flow with lyricism and bassy trap beats…” Modele Magazine described him as “fresh and new and 100% upcoming…seemed ready enough to indulge deeper into the hip-hop scene.”

He has also been playlisted by Dummy Mag and has had his music played on Reprezent Radio. Upcoming artist FRAZER (@frazerxvii) recently brought him out at his Headline London show at Concrete Space to perform his strong single “Blues”
